We Shy Artists are bad at deadlines. Anyway, here is my collage. Not all of the stuff in it is actually from Main Street, but everything is stuff around my neighbourhood that I considered interesting enough to take a picture of while I was on my many walks.
All the photos were taken with my phone. Though they are digital files, I didn’t do any resizing of the various pieces - this is all at “original” resolution. I did rotate pieces around a little bit, but that’s all. I only used each piece once.

A couple of weeks ago, I had an stomach upset that would not go away. I called my mom in Canada to ask what would help, she taught me how to make bean sprout congee. Korean Congee is usually thicker than Chinese congee because Korean congee is made of glutinous rice. Glutinous rice is apparently excellent for stomach upset. Congee itself soothes your body and it is easy for irritated digestive system to digest and hydrate. Umeboshi on the side will be even better because plums are known for helping stomach upset as well!

The only kind of food I ever make on a regular basis is the easy kind - hence this chili that most of you have probably already tasted. I am a one-trick pony. I designed this recipe as a one-page mini-comic, except my conversational writing took up far more space than I had planned - so there aren’t many pictures. You can get a full-sized printable version of the comic here. Instructions for folding and cutting it can be found here.

This recipie is filled with HEART. It is very good for both your body and your brain. If you partake in a tea time once a day, your stress levels will decrease and your brains will relax, making them more absorbant without making them squishy. I am available for coaching and private lessons, should anyone want to improve their technique.

i believe we all had to draw and paint at least one ‘portrait of my mom’ at preschools and elementary schools. this project reminded me of the portraits of my mom that i used to draw when i was little and i tried to make it look like them.
she actually looks a lot like this.

Mom, I’m sorry that this drawing sucks. I hope you never see this drawing because then you’ll probably freak out and get mad at me for posting this online. I tried drawing that weird face you always make, but I really didn’t know how to draw it so I kept trying… no luck.

Mom! Don't look at this picture!
